The best concert of my life (at the moment)

Hello everyone! Today, in this blog I´ll talk about the best concert I've been to.

The last year, on July 22nd, I had the opportunity to go with a friend to a concert of a Chilean Post Hardcore band called Tenemos Explosivos, one of my favorite's national bands. This concert was located at the 'Sala Metrónomo', ubicated in Barrio Bellavista.

A I said earlier, Tenemos Explosivos is a post-Hardcore band from our country, Chile, formed in Santiago in 2009, whose music talk about social and political themes, such as the dictatorship, the inequality, the injustice, and others. They launch 4 albums, called: 'Derrrumbe y Celebración' (2012), 'La Virgen de los Mataderos' (2014), 'Victoria' (2017), and the last one is 'Cortacalles' (2022), which is, in my opinion, the best of the band, because of his innovative sound and also his poetical and beautiful lyrics. My favorites songs of this album are: 'El Barco de Teseo', 'El fenómeno de la indiferencia en el mundo', 'Tártaro' and 'Lautaro, la Brigada'.

The atmosphere of that concert was so emotional, where the public not only sang; they -and we- jumped, cried, and we vent together. I liked a lot that collective sensation that was formed on that concert, where obviously we don't know the rest of the people, however we feel very close to each other. We passed a lot of emotions on that concert, a concert that I never forget it, a concert who remember to all of us that we shouldn't forget all of the atrocities of our recent history, were a minority is trying to disguise today.

  1. Hi vicente, it's the first time i hear about a chilean of a post hardcore band so now i'm interested abouth them!! and their name sound so cool. The best part of being in a concert it's the feeling that you described like you are all strangers but feel close with eachother hearing the same band :)

  3. Hi Vincent
I had never heard of this band, but I think it's great that Chilean groups are increasingly recognized and valued, I'll give them a chance, thanks for the post and the information about local artists.

    greetings!
