My dream job

 Hello everyone! In this blog, I'm going to talk about my dream job.

As a Social Worker student, in the future I really want to work not only for help the most disadvantages, but to get involved in social intervention politics, especially in the SENAME, because, as you know, is a place where children suffer a lot of abuse and violations of his rights and my objective is to contribute in the transformation of this organism, in order that the rights of the child be respected and the Chilean State take charge of all the atrocities occurred inside of SENAME facilities.


According to a report from Observatorio para la Confianza (2021), in the last 15 years have passed away approximately 1.188 children and 648 adults who were in protection programs and juvenile justice area. 

for all of the above, is important that we need an urgent transformation of this system, we have to put aside the passivity, and take actions. That's my one of the reasons of why I choose to study Social Work, because this career isn´t just welfarism, is more than that, Social Work means that we need to involve in politics and make structural changes, with the final purpose of change our material conditions and our reality. That's my dream.

    Hi Vicente, it sounds great your dream, I hope you can take actions about this theme and this is so important for the next generations and also the mental health, remember not being involved with the cases to prevent the burnout

    Hello Vicente, my father is a social worker and I can say from here and from my experience that helping others who really need it is an invaluable satisfaction! I think it is an excellent career and that it promotes cooperation and social inclusion.

    Hello Vicente. My uncle is a social worker, he had motived me to study this career. I think that this job fights for the social problems, despite the hardships we will meet in future, i think the noble cause we fight for it´s worth the effort.

A country I would like to visit

 Hello everyone! My name is Vicente Gálvez, I'm 21 years old and I'm a Social Work student. In this blog, I going to talk about a country I would like to visit, in this case, I'm referring to Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). This country, in my opinion, has some of the most beautiful places that I really want to meet, such as the classical Big Ben in London, England, the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland and my favorite place, Snowdonia National Park in Wales.  The famous Big Ben, well... I don't think that I need to introduce him, because is a very popular place. Nonetheless, the only thing I would say is that I really, really want to visit, because his architecture is so fascinating.
